Birds, Birds, Birds!!!

These are birds we have seen while out and about.  Several of these we got to know when we lived in Kansas and we hope to add to our list now that we live in the "WILD" West (as the children call it)!  Clicking on the links will provide a new window with some neat info from enature.com.  We have really enjoyed this website!  I hope you enjoy viewing some of the birds we have seen!

Birds while living in KS
Yellow Warbler
We were blessed to see this bird while at a lake near Kansas City.  We were in a field of beautiful wild flowers and while being surrounded by bees and other flying insects, we were graced with the presence of a sweet yellow warbler!

I was lucky to spot this bird through a lot of tall grass on an empty lot while on a walk in KS.  We also got to see one of these at a bird feeder while visiting my sister in Canada!

There is definitely no shortage of these birds around!  We've seen many of these in KS, NM, and AZ.  Where we live, they are everywhere!  Once while on a visit in NM, we were able to witness a couple beginning the building of their new home!

Truly lovely birds!  We were very lucky to see a few of these flash by us quickly while living in KS last summer.  These were a favorite of Benjamin Bunny.
Our neighbors had bird houses in their backyard that a flock of these birds came back to year after year.  They sure are beautiful!

What a bird!  We often saw these in KS.  Not too friendly though.  They would chase away the Robins and Cardinals.  They are definitly beautiful!
Steller's Jay
We were barely able to see this wonderful bird one day while hiking in the mountains of NM.  But it was unmistakable the call we heard!

Please have patience with us as we continue to work on this page.  If some of the links don't work, I am sorry, I will be checking each of these out, to make sure things transferred over correctly from our other blog.
